On April 16, Brandon Davis shared with his social media followers that while on the road in Arlington, TX, his trailer was broken into overnight. Everything inside had been stolen, including drums, guitars, merch, and amps. So far, there have been no leads as to who stole the items, but Davis did recently receive an extremely generous gift that added some brightness back in after a devastating situation.
After arriving back home, Davis took to social media to reveal that his friend and tourmate, Tim McGraw, had sent him a replacement Gibson guitar after hearing about what happened. This heartfelt moment was captured on video by his wife Destiny.

“Hey, baby, so you had something come in the mail. Your friends, Tim McGraw and Gibson and Down Home, they sent you a guitar to replace the one that you had taken from you,” Destiny can be heard saying from behind the camera.
The “One of Those” singer was left speechless after opening the brand-new instrument. He was quick to start breaking it in as he sat down next to one of his sons to play McGraw’s classic, “Live Like You Were Dying.”
“There are no words. I just can’t thank you guys enough. Thank you, thank you , thank you. This is amazing and a blessing,” he said with gratitude at the end of the video.
The night the trailer was broken into, he was scheduled to play in The Woodlands, TX and fortunately, he didn’t have to cancel the show as the venue was able to provide the equipment that they needed.
“While it was a scary and heartbreaking experience I still got to end that very same night doing what I love surrounded with the most supportive crowd I’ve ever seen. This is country music. Thank you @carsonclaymusic for letting me borrow your guitar,” Davis wrote on Instagram alongside a video that showed him telling his fans about the incident.
Davis’ kids also happened to be with him on this trip, and while he explained they are just as upset about losing their equipment, everyone was safe.
“It was a heartbreaking moment, but thankfully we were all inside the hotel and safe. I can buy back anything that got stolen, I can’t buy back my family and my band,” Davis told Country Now before adding, “We’ve tried to keep ’em in the know that it’s just about more or less keeping us safe than it is the things that got stolen.”
In 2022, the father of four served as support on 17 different dates of McGraw’s headlining run. From working out to sharing the stage and getting to know each other behind the scenes, Davis revealed how honored he was to have this time with a country music great.
“Got to work out with the guy and really get to know him as a person and kind of jam out and play some songs that. It’s weird when you meet somebody that you grew up listening to on the radio, or when you actually meet ’em in person and realize, they’re just a person and they’re wanting to just hang out and have a good time. And him being a huge inspiration as a family man too, I just took in as much as I possibly could.”
The rising country singer/songwriter already has a slew of performances on the books for the year. He is next slated to play Riverbend Festival in Chattanooga, TN on June 3.
Additionally, Davis is preparing to release his new EP, Jesus and Jesse James on Friday (April 28).
While discussing the new project with Country Now, Brandon Davis prefaced that his fans should “be ready to hear something that I truly, truly believe in and I’m deeply emotional about just because these songs mean a lot.”
