On Thursday, April 13, Combs announced that he will be opening his own 69,000 square foot bar and entertainment venture in downtown Nashville in partnership with Opry Enterainment group, a division of Ryman Hospitality Properties.
Modeled after his 8x platinum debut No. 1 hit, “Hurricane,” the massive multi-level complex is slated to have something for everyone – fans, songwriters, bachelorettes, and more.
Dubbed, “the largest and most versatile entertainment complex in the downtown entertainment district,” the experience will hold an indoor/outdoor capacity of nearly 3,200 people. Each of the three interior levels will be customized to reflect Combs’ passions for music, songwriting, whiskey and sports.
“I got my start in town playing on this stage and to have the opportunity to work with Opry Entertainment to transform it into my own bar is a dream come true,” Combs said in a press release. “I can’t wait for my fans to see what we’re up to.”
Luke Combs announces Nashville bar and entertainment venture.
Located at 120 Second Avenue North, the venue is expected to debut in the summer of 2024. Before Combs takes over the space, the current venue, Wildhorse Saloon, will continue to operate throughout the planned refurbishment period. The existing main stage and dance floor will remain the destination for line dancing alongside daily live music from the best up-and-coming talent in Nashville.
The complex will feature several bars including a world class bourbon bar, a beer bar with high quality local ales, and a can’t-miss sports bar on the third level.
This upcoming complex will join the ongoing list of country stars who have opened a restaurant/bar in Nashville’s bustling downtown scene, including Luke Bryan, Kip Moore, Florida Georgia Line, Dierks Bentley, Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, Alan Jackson, Miranda Lambert, and more.
Back-To-Back Nashville Shows
The news of Combs’ new business venture drops just days before he is set to play back-to-back shows in Nashville. While he was originally slated to only play one night in Music City, he took to Instagram one week before the show to surprise fans with the news that he has added a second show on Friday, April 14.
“I was sitting down with my team this week. We were kind of going over how these stadium shows have been going, and some of the challenges of that, and really, the challenges of playing one show a week,” Combs said on social media.
“That’s kind of been the thing that’s been hardest for me because I love playing shows so much. I just enjoy the heck out of it, and it’s something that I wanna do more. So, with that being said, we’re playing Nissan Stadium here next Saturday, April the 15th. We’re also gonna be playing Nissan Stadium this Friday, April the 14th.”
These upcoming shows are part of Combs’ World Tour, which kicked off March 25 in Arlington, TX. Following his stop in Nashville, he will bring the headlining trek to Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan on April 22. A complete list of upcoming shows can be seen below.
