Garth Brooks is gearing up for a slew of dates on his new Las Vegas residency, Garth Brooks/Plus ONE. Before taking the stage in Sin City, the country superstar caught up with Good Morning America to give an inside look at what fans can expect from the new production.
His upcoming residency follows a three-and-a-half-year global stadium tour that was seen by over three million fans. While this was a massive run for Brooks, he revealed that he’s looking forward to giving fans a more intimate experience for those lucky enough to claim a spot among the 4,300 seats inside The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

Since this venue holds a much smaller capacity of fans than his previous tour, tickets have been in high demand, and as a result, Brooks has just announced that 18 new dates have been added in 2024.
“When the 2023 shows went on sale, I felt extremely fortunate and blessed. To even think I would get do this for another year makes me happier than I can explain. Thank you for the chance,” Brooks shared in a press release.
Another difference with this residency is that Brooks has instated a “no phone, no video” policy. This rule gives him the freedom to share brand-new, unreleased music solely with the various groups of fans who come to see him in Las Vegas.
“I’m hoping they get something here that they can’t get anywhere else,” Brooks told the outlet. “I think it’s a laboratory, because it’s a no phone, no video policy, which makes me go, ‘Here’s a song I was working on today.’”
As a whole, Garth Brooks/Plus ONE is expected to deliver a new show to fans each night with varying band members and the occasional special guest. This is where the “plus one” portion of the show’s title comes into play. It holds a certain mystery because it means that anyone could join Brooks on stage throughout his set, but the audience won’t know until it happens in front of them.
“When somebody buys a ticket, and receives something that money can’t buy — that’s hopefully when you’ve done what I think you’re down here to do,” he said. “I just can’t believe this is happening.”
The goal is to build something beyond just another country concert and to create a once-in-a-lifetime experience between Brooks and his audience members.
“It’s one of those things — I think I’ll go to my grave thinking this might be the only time God made a mistake,” Brooks said with a laugh as he reflected on the career he’s built in the country music community.
“How is this happening? How did people show up?” he wondered. “I don’t see why they buy a ticket to a Garth Brooks show, but it’s so cool that they do.”
When asked if he’d be open to extending the show into 2024, the “Friends In Low Places” singer responded, “You bet your ass I’d love to do it.”
“I plan on being here till they throw me out, so we’ll see how long that is.”
While every show in Sin City is expected to be slightly different, he assured that his fan-favorite classics will remain in the setlist.
