Up-and-coming singer/songwriter Griffen Palmer will make his national television debut with a performance of his mesmerizing ballad, “Second Guessing,” on ABC’s The Bachelor.
Palmer will appear on The Bachelor on Monday night (Feb. 6). The episode will feature an acoustic serenade of “Second Guessing” during one of the special one-on-one dates with Season 27 Bachelor, Zach Shallcross.
According to ABC, the episode will feature “two lucky women on jaw-dropping one-on-one dates featuring prehistoric creatures and a romantic musical performance.” The Bachelor Bowl will also return.
Palmer is thrilled over the opportunity to appear on the show.
“It’s surreal to get to perform on national TV for the first time,” he shared in a statement. “Especially on a show as massive and influential as ‘The Bachelor.’ This year has already been full a lot of firsts for me, but this is one I will never forget.”
“Second Guessing”, is out now on all streaming platforms. On the song, Palmer had an impressive roster of co-writers including Corey Crowder, Ester Dean, Andrew DeRoberts, Tyler Hubbard, Brian Kelley, Shane McAnally, Ben Simonetti, Ryan Tedder, and Geoff Warburton.
The tune mirrors Shallcross’ desire to meet “the one,” opening the door and himself for the type of love Palmer sings about in his lyrics, stating that he “saw the rest of my life with one look in your eyes, I’m confessing, That I ain’t spent one-second guessin’”
After his success on the NBC songwriting competition, Songland, Palmer is latest addition to the Big Loud Records roster. His career has no signs of slowing down and has seen a rapid projection since his launch earlier this month.
Named a “Highway Find” by SiriusXM The Highway even before his debut track was even released, Palmer is set to deliver listeners more of his pop-infused country hits with his debut full studio album due sometime in 2023. In the meantime, Palmer will be touring this spring, joining fellow Big Loud artist Lily Rose’s headline tour kicking off Feb. 9 in Boston, Massachusetts at Brighton Music Hall.
The Bachelor airs Mondays at 8/7c on ABC. Episodes can be viewed the next day on demand and on Hulu.
