Kane Brown was raised on country music and this video of him singing Tim McGraw’s “I Like It, I Love It” proves it.
The Kane Brown Family Instagram account recently shared a throwback video of a 12-year-old Kane Brown performing the chart-topping McGraw hit. Even back then, Brown had a great sense of style as he is seen sporting a white hat, a necklace, and a stylish white shirt.
Fans flocked to the comments section to gush over the adorable throwback, which is dated July 23, 2005.

“It was only the beginning!! Thanks for sharing your journey! Absolutely loving it,” one Instagram user wrote, while another shared, “And look at you now. Such great success.”
Brown previously revealed that this clip was captured during his “first time on stage.”
Tim McGraw is one of Kane Brown’s musical influences along with artists like Chris Young and Alan Jackson.
“It was always country, that’s all I listened to growing up,” he once told Nash Country Daily. “Once I started moving schools, I started hearing different songs, different artists, so I started listening to that. Once I hit puberty and found out who Chris Young was, I just fell in love with his voice and his songs. And that’s when I turned to country.”
Years later, Brown enjoyed a full-circle moment with McGraw when they shared the stage to perform “I Like It, I Love It” together at the 53rd Super Bowl NFL Tailgate Party in Atlanta, GA.
On February 2, 2019, the artists took the stage at Atlanta’s Mercedes Benz Stadium for a surprise collaborative performance.
McGraw surprised fans in the midst of his performance when he welcomed Brown to the stage.
“Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for Mr. Kane Brown,” he shouted as fans erupted with applause.
Earlier in the day, McGraw teased the performance with a cryptic picture of him and Brown.
“Look who I just ran into,” McGraw wrote on social media alongside a photo of the pair.
Fast forward to 2023, both artists remain at the top of the game.
Kane Brown recently earned his ninth career No.1 single with “Thank God,” his duet with his wife, Katelyn. The track is featured on Brown’s latest album, Different Man, which was released last fall.
Additionally, Brown is gearing up for the launch of the U.S. leg of his Drunk or Dreaming Tour. His next scheduled tour date is set for March 16 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Brown will make stops in cities such as Greenville, South Carolina, Nashville, Tennessee, and Tulsa, Oklahoma, and more before the tour wraps up on September 3 at the Washington State Fair.
Dustin Lynch, Gabby Barrett, LOCASH, Darius Rucker, and Restless Road will join him on select dates.
The superstar will take a break from the tour to co-host the 2023 CMT Music Awards alongside Kelsea Ballerini on Sunday, April 2. Brown is also one of the top nominees for the fan-voted awards show with three nods: Video of the Year, Male Video of the Year, and Collaborative Video of the Year.
Meanwhile, excitement is building for the release of Tim McGraw’s new song, “Standing Room Only.” The track is set to be released on Friday, March 10.
The country music icon has shared several teasers of the new track with fans via Instagram and says he loves the message of the song and can’t wait for fans to hear the final product when it’s released.
Luke Combs and Morgan Wallen are two of the top country artists in the game right now, and while each has had their fair share of collaborative songs, they’ve never released one together. During a recent appearance on the Wayne D Show with Nashville’s radio station, The BIG 98, Combs was asked if there has ever been talk between him and Wallen about getting into the studio together. In a clip from the interview shared to social media, Combs can be […]
