Chase Matthew pines for a painful heartbreak to stop clouding his mind in the official music video for his song, “Come Get Your Memory.”
Directed by Robby Klein, the video showcases the Warner Music Nashville rising artist haunted by the memories of his past relationship that were built in his once joy-filled home, which has now turned to a place of loneliness.
“Come Get Your Memory” puts Matthew’s whole heart on display through the hard-hitting production and steady vocals as he sings, “Mixin’ with whiskey, now she’s livin’ rent free / Damn she’s a heartbreak that ain’t slowin’ down / Swear I would, if I could but I can’t just forget / ‘Cause no, she won’t let me, so girl, please / Come get your memory.”

New Album Coming Soon
The emotional song serves as the title track of Matthew’s major label debut album that’s slated to drop on June 9. This 25-track project marks his second overall career album, following his breakout 2022 debut, Born For This.
The forthcoming collection offers an in-depth dive into every corner of the singer/songwriter’s musical appeal, with each song peeling back a new layer of Matthew’s signature sound.
“This is the biggest project I’ve put out so far, but my fans needed this,” Matthew shared in a press release. “There’s something for everyone on this album – a few drinking songs, a handful of heartbreaks, some dancing jams, and my personal favorites: a couple that hit really close to home.”
He continued, “When I say ‘home,’ I’m talking about the way I grew up, where I grew up, and everything it took to get me here today. I hope this album is as inspiring to you as creating it was for me… Come get your memories from this album – and maybe make some new ones along the way!”
Fans have already gotten an inside look at what to expect from the Nashville native’s full-length album through songs like “Hey Montana,” “The Way I Am” and the fan favorite “Love You Again.”
As for the unreleased songs including “Make a Memory,” “Moonlight,” “Where There’s Smoke” “Outlaw Gospel,” and more, Matthew has had the chance to preview the new music on stages across the nation on his headlining Love You Again Tour.
A Successful Year So Far
Following a milestone performance at the Grand Ole Opry on April 7, and an appearance at the 2023 CMT Music Awards in Austin, TX, Matthew is preparing to wrap up his current trek, which launched January 27 and will come to a close in Rootstown, OH on April 22.

Each time he takes the stage, the “Born For This” singer makes it a point to make the show more than just a typical concert. He also brings great passion and a desire to connect with his audience members.
“This tour is just as inspirational as the last one was,” Matthew previously told Country Now. “We’re out here giving pep talks in between songs and, you know, making sure people know that you can chase your dreams, you can achieve your dreams, and to just push for ’em. I mean, you can tell people what they want to hear, but then you can tell people what they need to hear. It’s about the message. It’s not about the music, it’s about the word.”
Chase Matthew is also scheduled for a hometown show at CMA Fest this June.
“It’s gonna be cool,” the rising star teased of the upcoming festival. “Come see me on the Riverfront Stage. We’re doing it big.”
Additionally, he will appear at a number of festivals later this year including Rock The South, Carolina Country Music Fest, Tailgate N’ Tallboys, Country Thunder, Big Valley Jamboree, and more.
