Chris Lane took a nasty fall on stage during his recent headlining performance at Jax River Jams in Downtown Jacksonville at the Riverfront Plaza, and he recovered from the incident like an absolute champ.

While performing a cover of Garth Brooks’ iconic hit, “Friends In Low Places,” the country hitmaker’s cowboy boot got stuck in the subwoofer he was standing on, causing him to fall backward on stage.

He Powered Through Like A Champ

Despite falling, Chris Lane continued to power through his performance of the Garth Brooks tune while laying on the stage floor. His team and security rushed to assist the “Dancin’ In The Moonlight” singer, whose foot was still stuck in the speaker.

In several clips shared to TikTok, Lane is seen laying on the floor as his tour manager, Brandon Matthews, and the venue staff attempt to pull his boot out of the subwoofer.

“Somebody say yee haw!” Lane shouted as he laughed. “God bless Country music!”

The Crew Helped Set Him Free

After several minutes, Lane’s team was able to remove his boot from the speaker.

“I don’t know what happened, but my boot got caught right there,” Lane told the crowd, pointing at the subwoofer, as he got up off the stage floor.

Fans Were Concerned

Fans were quick to respond and show their support for Lane.

“Love how he sings right thru it😂😂,” wrote one TikTok user. Another shared, “Ol’ BMatt to the rescue!! 🥰😁”

Others praised the singer/songwriter as a “class act” and shared their hopes for a quick recovery: “That’s so scary, I just hope his leg is okay.”

This isn’t the first time that Chris Lane has fallen on stage. During his first-ever stadium performance on Florida Georgia Line’s Smooth Tour in 2017, Lane took a tumble for the first time in front of thousands of fans at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts.

“My first stadium tour ever …. my first fall on stage,” Lane wrote at the time.

At the time, Chris Lane was in the midst of his performance of “Who’s It Gonna Be” from his 2016 debut album, Girl Problems, when he slipped and fell on stage.

Welcomed Second Child Last Year

The 38-year-old North Carolina native has been mostly laying low since welcoming his second child with his wife, Lauren Lane, last fall.

The couple introduced fans to Baker Weston via Instagram shortly after his “very chaotic” arrival. Baker, who arrived nine days early, joins big brother, Dutton Walker, who will turn 2 this summer.

The father of two is set to serve as support for Walker Hayes on the Duck Buck Tour on May 5 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

He is also currently performing on select dates of Kane Brown’s Drunk or Dreaming Tour amidst his own headlining shows.

Additionally, Chris Lane is scheduled to appear at several upcoming festivals including Country Bay Music Festival, Voices Of America Country Music Fest, Windy City Smokeout, Wonderstruck 2023, Ride Into The Music Festival, Lakes Jam 2023.
