Drunk Or Dreaming Tour Underway
Kane Brown is in the midst of his Drunk or Dreaming Tour, where he showcases performances of his biggest hits such as “Like I Love Country Music,” “Homesick,” “Heaven,” and more.
During each show, he pauses to take moment to remember where he came from and often covers a variety of songs each night, including “Friends In Low Places.”
“How many people know how I got started doing music? If you don’t know, I was doing covers on Facebook. I eventually went and bought a guitar and moved in with my nana when I was like 19 or 20. I learned guitar, as much as I could on YouTube,” he shared from the stage during his recent concert at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. “George Strait was the one that made me go viral. I did everybody, Justin Moore, I did Sam Hunt, I did Garth Brooks…Every country artist you could name I was doing their songs on Facebook. I probably had like 500 covers, and then I got my record deal here in Nashville, thank you guys so much.”
Additionally, Brown recently shared a cover of “Stand By Me” and has also performed Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man” and Shania Twain’s “Man! I Feel Like A Woman.”
New Single At Country Radio
Kane Brown recently returned to country radio with his brand new single, “Bury Me In Georgia.” The song was co-written by Brown alongside Josh Hoge, Matt McGinn, and Jordan Schmidt.
“Bury Me In Georgia” appears on his latest album, Different Man, and serves as a musical tribute to his home state.
“‘Bury Me In Georgia’ just a song, you know, about the home state that I grew up in,” Brown says. “That’s where I want to go whenever it’s my time. Especially the Georgia Bulldogs, they on top of it right now about three-peat so anyway, no, Georgia is just, you know, it’s always gonna place in my heart.”
The song is the follow-up to Brown’s latest No.1 hit, “Thank God,” which features his wife, Katelyn Brown. It’s quite the juxtaposition from the romantic duet and showcases a different side of Brown’s artistry.
“Bury me in Georgia/ Lemme rest in peace/ Underneath the pines/ Yeah, yeah, yeah/ Where my roots run deep/ When it’s my day/ Put me in that clay/ And remember what I told ya/ When I die/ Bury me in Georgia,” he sings alongside a boot-stomping, rock-heavy beat.
Arriving just in time for Spring and Summer, this track is destined to be another radio hit for the genre-bending star.
